The Township of Pelee is services by Owen Sound Transportation Company, which is a Crown corporation under the Ministry of Transportation. The Island is currently serviced by the M.V Jiimaan and M.V Pelee Islander from mainland Kingsville or Leamington, depending on the time of year. A strong, consistent and reliable transportation system is critical to and from the Island for residents, visitors and businesses. Below is a 20 year transportation strategy that was developed for the service.

The Township of Pelee is very proud and excited to welcome a new vessel in peak season 2018 called the Pelee Islander II, that was built specifically for service to and from Pelee Island. The Ministry of Transportation has been working diligently to get this new vessel in service to increase the capacity of passenger and vehicle traffic to and from the Island.
