Pelee Island in the winter offers a very unique opportunity that few experience as, getting to, and hunting on Pelee works a little bit differently. To travel to Pelee Island in the winter there is a short plane ride from Windsor with Pelee Island Transportation. At this time of year, from January to February, rabbit & pheasant hunting is available.
2025 Winter Hunt Dates
January 1 to February 28
Hunting Hours:
½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset
This is strictly enforced.
2025 Winter Rabbit & Pheasant Hunt Price:
$28.25 (including tax)
Licences are valid for one day only within the hunting season of January 1 to February 28, 2025 and include a 5 rabbit or 5 pheasant limit. Each hunter can purchase up to two licences valid on the same date (one pheasant and one rabbit).
Licence Orders
Licence sales for winter hunts will commence on December 18, 2024. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, e-transfer or cheque in Canadian Funds.
Names and addresses of ALL members in the party must be submitted when ordering licences.
