PELEE BUZZ Event: TRADITIONAL CARING FOR SACRED WATER
–
August 21, 2022
For Anishinaabeg, water is sacred. It is a vital part of Mother Earth, like veins that carry blood throughout our body. As one of the sacred elements in the Sacred Hoop, water is life and connects us all. It hydrates not only our bodies but also the plants, trees and animals. Women were given the responsibility to care for the water. Carrie Ann Peters of the Caldwell First Nation will share some of the traditional ways.
